CAPITAL INVESTMENT PROGRAM
The Town Administrator and staff develop a six-year Capital Investment Program. The document is then presented to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for review and prioritization. The project manager for each project ensures that all the project phases are completed. Staff members involved meet monthly for project and timeline updates.
The Town’s FY2025 Capital Investment Program (CIP) is $17,630,216. The CIP budget emphasizes the continuation of investing in the design and construction of capital projects and major infrastructure. Some areas of focus are the purchase of land for expansion of our parks, park enhancements, road improvements and new pedestrian connections – all essential to future growth and development.
The largest funding source for FY2025 is a $6 million Surface Transportation Block Grant earmarked for Union Road.
