CAPITAL INVESTMENT PROGRAM
The Town Administrator and staff develop a six-year Capital Investment Program (CIP). The document is then presented to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for review and prioritization. The project manager for each project ensures that all the project phases are completed. Staff members involved meet monthly for project and timeline updates.

The FY26 budget of $17,402,000 provides funding for a variety of projects in program areas such as transportation and general facility/equipment. There are multiple capital projects proposed for funding in FY26. Some of the FY26 projects include Boyd Station Road and Union Road Improvements, along with various grant-funded park projects.

One of the largest funding sources for FY26 is a transfer of $6 million from the General Fund balance for use of various projects in FY26 and beyond.
